Janelle was born and raised in Levittown, NY and holds a BA in English Literature and Communication from the State University of NY at Geneseo; she is currently working on her MA in Special Education at Touro College. Beyond teaching  ELA at Schuylerville Preparatory High School, Janelle also teaches media literacy and is the advisor for the newspaper club at her school.  She has cultivated a strong interest in facilitating social/emotional academic programs and is now facilitating the QUESTion Class at Schuylerville Preparatory and working with Open Future Institute to co-create additional materials for the year 2 of the QUESTion Class Curriculum
